i have my first showjumping event coimg up in 2 weeks and i am really nervous.
Can anybody give me some advise , i really need i

Hi there!! A few very simple tips:
1. Breathe!!
2. Arrive in enough time to walk the show jumping course really really thoroughly. Know your horse: does he have a long stride or does he have a shorter stride which you will have to push out a bit or cut corners to get round a bit quicker (AKA I HAVE to do this, my horse is quite short strided, and needs to take the shortest track possible)
Walk it as many times as you have to.
3. Warm your horse up well. Not round and round and round, get him listening to your aids, just to get him fired up within reason for lightness. Dont go over and over and over the practise jump, four times should really be enough.
4. When in there, dont think about judges, other riders etc, just think of listening to your horse, where you are going and remember what you walked through earlier.
5. Breathe, and SMILE, show jumping is SO FUN. Before you know it you will be addicted like I am!! Adrenalin plus!!

breath...and talk to your horse! when i had my first camp show i was so nervous, but once i got on the horse i felt so much better! remember your not going out alone ... your horse is with you. i wasn't very nervous once i got on and was talking to the horse i was ridding. and my friend who has been showing her whole life was there with me talking with me. talking is allways good, just make sure you have memorized the cource, if you don't go first watch the others carefully and what their horses do at the jumps.
