Has anyone on here done theirs? If so what was it like? I've heard that the national pass rate is only 43%. I've got mine booked for the 4th March. For various reasons I have very little choice- I HAVE to pass. So any hints?
Thank you.

Have done my HGV licence and it was fine - i did a weeks intensive course which was 8-1 mon-thurs and then had the test on friday which i passed (despite trying to pull away in the hi-range gearbox (6th instead of 2nd).
I had to pass for my job so was under pressure but found it was fun as well as got on well with my instructor. Size of the lorry was only an issue the first time i got into it - i'm 5ft4 and took my test in a 14tonne Volvo :)

I hold a Class I LGV Licence.... birthday present from my dad when I was 21.... back then you could go straight in for your Articulated licence, but now you have to do your Rigid Licence first.... I passed my LGV Class I first time, but your Class II test should be fine - just keep checking your mirrors and remember the length of your vehicle.
Also, read the road ahead and give yourself penty of time for maneovours - I found it help to describe everything I was doing.....
Good Luck! I'm sure you'll be fine :D
