I think she might be thinking of Southend ? We never used to ride on the beaches there as they have "soft spots" or sandholes apparently.
There is another beach I've heard people talk about around there but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called. We used to box to Camber Sands or further up the coast towards Colchester/Frinton.

Im sure its was NR peeps "Bunnylover" that told me about it.
My sense of direction is crap, so might be further a field but I felt it was over towards, Chelmford, what the place that has boats near South Woodham??
Might be best if I just shut up sometimes lovl :p:D:D:D

There's a beach at Southend called East Beach that is used for horseriding which im planning on going to, but Essexlady said on my other thread, that she thought she remembered someone on here saying there was a beach near Chelmsford (Maldon area)?

We used to hunt along the sea wall there.. scary. Dunno if you can ride on the beach tbh..
Bradwell-on-sea is nice too.. been there with the dogs.. there is a bit of beach after a nice track past some religious tower-y thing (near the old power plant) - St Peters Chapel I think it's called.. that'd be lovely to ride on.. no idea if it's allowed but it's gorgeous there. Some lovely lanes etc to hack about on there too. Plenty of parking too.

Chelmsford is in-land, so no beach near it.
Only coastline is Shoeburyness, Southend, Mersey - shoesburyness or East Beach - you should really go with someone who rides there regularly, as it can be quite dangerous.....
Can't ride on southend beach - dunno about Mersey, burham-on-crouch and such like.
If you contact Julie Hayward (she does trailer hire), she organises beach rides at Shoeburyness.
