I use it- much prefer it to shavings. It is more absorbant, really easy to muck out and the bales are much cheaper but seem to last just as long if not longer than shavings! The one that i get has eucalyptus in as well which is great as it smells nice and stops fatty eating his bed! I don't deep bed it but i know others at my yard do and it seems to be ok for this!

Don't have any pics sorry- would take some later but have just had to chuck a shavings bale in there as the rape all ran out and couldn't get hold of any for a while due to the snow here! So his bed looks a little multicoloured!
It certainly looks better if you muck it out properly each day- the ones that are deep bedded the bed does look a lot grubbier but it is dry enough on top- depends how often you would do a full muck out though i guess- our ladies don't leave it longer than a couple of weeks- our YO much prefers it for the muckheap as it rots away really well unlike the shavings that sit around for ages so guess it stands to reason that it would start to break down if you left it in a deep bed for a long time!

Helloe.
I have a very messy gelding who has been on several types of bedding in the past 12 months and have found that nedz bedz chopped rape or straw is the best product for my boy. I have also used rapasorb, which is chopped rape with eucalyptus, which was great as well.
I can go into his stable, where there is hardly any wet, skip his box out, then fork through his bedding. Once it has all been forked about the bedding seems to regain it's fluffyness again and seems to last for ages.
He's recently been on box rest where his bedding lasted for 1 1/2 weeks, and that was with only one bale. and can last 2 - 3 weeks with normal turnout.
the best bedding product i have used!
