I'm not sure where to post this or if it's allowed but i have a few horsey items that i want to sell, i haven't advertised any of them yet as i don't know how to go about payment.

Now the question (reason for starting this thread) is How do you accept payment for the items you sell? I'm not sure how to go about this.

Sorry if posting this isn't allowed, this is the first time i've sold things online (except amazon, but i don't want to give out any card details)

Thanks for your help :)

Ebay sort of does it for you, otherwise you can set up a website, some of them have free paypal facilities for selling things. I know Tripod does if you set up a site with them you can add a thing for people to pay you. Maybe someone else can help a bit more?

i tend to sell through ebay for convenience but there are free ad papers, ad trader, local paper - all worth trying.

With ebay i accept cheques, postal orders and paypal. Never send anything til payment clears though!

If you have a paypal account you can invoice people by sending a money request. Its simple and efficient.

If selling through papers its usually cash on collection.

Hope thats of some help! :)
