Going to look at a horsebox this afternoon, a Mitsubishi Canter D. It looks like a 3.5T, 2.8L engine.

I have never heard of this make, and if I like it I will be getting a mechanic to look at it. I just wondered if anyone here had anything good or bad to say about Mitsubishi, or this make of van/conversion at all.

I look forward to your comments!

Thank you

No first hand experience, but when I was box hunting I only saw a couple of them advertised so my worry would be how easy it is to get spare for them. It might be worth looking in Yellow Pages & ringing up a commercial vehicle garage for a chat about spares availability/cost :)

Thanks IronMaiden

It was really nice but too low for my horse. :-(

Back to square one!

Don't know much about the 3.5t canter but some friends of ours have a 7.5t. Hav been in it a couple of times. Realy nice drive, fells funny in a small cab but you soon forget about that. Goes well and seems very reliable as he has never moaned about it in 12 months unlike his old Iveco!!
Being from Japan I would assume that they are like their cars and don't go wrong very often. :)
