Ginny is right, all haffy's are chestnut with flaxen mane and tail, they vary in shade, but are definitely chestnut, not pally.
I won't take credit for knowing this BTW,I got it from a post that chev made some time ago:p

All Haflingers are chestnut of varying shades even though just about everyone I see for sale is advertised as palomino!

Chestnut!
Is it Suffolk Punches that are called Chesnuts (without the T?)? Some heavy horse anyway.
S/He (Sorry don't know which!) is gorgeous and I LOVE your bridle.

Apparently so. I just think someone in Suffolk just couldn't spell.

It's just cause we all have odd farmers accents, so when people were transcribing us talking, they didn't pick up on the half missing, dropped t ;)
Apparently there are 7 shades of Suffolk Punch Chesnut
Anyway back to the OP - Haflingers are chesTnut with flaxen, never palomino. Equally there are so many different shades and variations on the colouring, even though they're labelled the same.

Ive always loved palominos, and one day my husband shocked me and said
'I know where there is a whole field of palominos'!
I was like......take me there!!
so we went to look, and it was a haffy stud - yes, fields of them!
I sadly had to tell him to tell him that they were infact chestnut - but very sweet of him all the same, as haffys are gorgeous!
