Question in title??
I really want to aim Blackie at it for next year & just wondered if anybody had done it?? What is it like??
I only want to do the small class, is the course nice??
Also it says its the old format-will the steeplechase fences be the height of the XC & SJ fences??
Thanks :)
never again

I looked at the schedules and pricing, and I thought it was expensive. Otherwise I would go.

I've never been, but Bounty's owners done it a few times and said it was good. Only thing was the last year that she went was when it all flooded and the stables were standing water...
Apparently there were a couple more technical things on course, but nothing overly big :)
sorry I can't help any more - I'd love to do it but have a doddery old pony and a physco to ride, so doubt I will for a while :p

Ive never competed in it, but did groom at it a few years ago on the xc day. Friend have competed in it. I'm grooming at it this year :D
It's definatley worth the cost, course is nice, but horses need to be fit enough and well prepared, as do riders. Not so much doing it, but the intensitivity of being away from home for so long etc.
Haven't walked the course of the 3DE but I know the 1DE are all nice courses.

Ive done it 4 times now. Twice last year:D
Its well worth the money. Course for class 1 is nice and not overly big although they have just introduced class 0 which has a shortened roads & tracks, only 1 round of steeple chase which is not timed and xc is 2'3" i think.
Got loads of pics from september if you want to see some.

It's great fun I've done it twice on two different horses
Course is lovely.... get to know your stopwatch before hand and it well worth getting the eventing one as a normal one you will not be able to see the time!
The lowest class then was 2'6-2'9 and it was a fair course no fences were over height or real frighteners :)
