This is hopefully a pic of Ljóssie my competition horse.

I hope it comes out as it was very dark and has been put through several processes on a photo programme.

You pronounce his name " yose faxi" with a very slight "L" at the beginning.

It means pale mane.

He's about 13hh maybe 13.1hh with shoes on!:D

He has a very nervous nose, it is permanently wrinkled, he's a martyr ro his nerves, if a stranger tried to kiss it he'd have to go off and have therapy!

He is my hope for this years British Championships in the dressage and 4 and 5 gait oval track classes. Frances is going to try and get the Pace record with Hákon.

Gorgeous! I am enjoying this board heaps because of the icelandic fans! I never knew much about them before coming here! Only really knew TB, arab and appaloosa because they are the types (among others) that I have ridden most or are found most commonly in NZ!
Great pic Wally, he is sweet ! :)

silly question but what sort of training do you do with your compeition horses? how often do you practice dressage and go out riding with them?

Im tryign to be a bit more serious with elja...once a week int he arena...next month 2x week but the little moo goes like a dream when we are alone but as soon as anothe rhrose is in site she makes things up as we go along and changes my whole training tactics..ie i want her to ride a circle and she wants to change the diagional ...i want to change the diagional she wants to do sidepass...i want to go straight she wanst to do travers or shoulder in:o :o then when i want her to do shoulder in she pretends she doesnt know what i am talkign about :D

but no wally i hope you show some of those Britts how to ride properly!

just the other day i was looking at a website from one of the World champ. teams members...so proud of herself -especially from a picture of her cantering at the world champs. in austria and she was cantering on the the wrong leg.
