I remember someone mention really thick leggings that was good enogh for riding but cannot remeber the name of brand.
Can anyone help?
Also I remember people here saying they Doc martins ankle boots.
Recently I saw a girl wearing knee high ones on a train.
Thats new to me.
What are other suitable alternative riding clothes?
Thanks in advance if any feedback.

Try to avoid wearing jods  is the response I get in them ;)
I wear jeans to ride in like these: Riding Jeans (http://www.sheplers.com/womens/all_womens_jeans/350682.html)
And these Ariat boots: All Terrain Boots (http://www.ariat.com/products_detail.aspx?pcid=8&cid=1&scid=13&pid=571)
Sometimes with Half chaps sometimes without.

Because I use caged stirrups, I usually wear hiking boots to ride, with half chaps. In summer I often wear cheap leggings - comfortable to sleep in while camping, and cheap enough to throw out (or cut up to make into other things) when the crotch seam goes.

Ditto this - I have a couple of pairs that I think were about £2.50 - really comfy for riding and a bit lighter than jods so good for the summer.:)

Cheap "stretch" jeans from places like matalan or peacocks with some hiking boots I won for a tenner on ebay! lol
I very rarely wear proper riding attire (because I'm such a cheapskate!) ;)
