Hi!

Don't know if any of you have tried using "Grannys old soapflakes" for washing your horses?

* They are safe to use on horses/animals (says so on the box!")

* Really cheap (about £1 a box) and go a long way!

* You can even use them to do your washing/wash numnahs etc.

* Available in the supermarket

* To top it all soapflakes seem to get my grey horses manes and tails extra clean and white :)

All you do is pour some soapflakes into a bucket, dissolve in a bucket and then they are ready to use! I normally leave it on the coat/tail for a few minutes to do its work and then just rinse.

Have Granny's soap flakes-waiting for a few days of nice weather for a full on bath! Mate who has 2 greys for weddings swears by Daz non biological. Very very dilute Vanish, thoroughly rinsed off-works wonders.

This was achieved with at bottle of fairy liquid!:D

Was a bit apprehensive what it was first suggested I use it but I was amazed how clean it got him - last time I spend about £20 on bottles of blue shampoo that didn't do half as good a job!

another great thing is a simple bar of body soap from somewhere like superdrug will bring up shiny whites and greys also handy for if you have a quick stable stain that needs scrubbing off
