Do you use bandages, brushing boots, wraps, magnetic boots, sports medicine boots?
Which do you prefer and why? I would ideally like something that was light and breathable but offered Riley reasonable protection.
What do you recommend?
Thanks :D

With my Advanced Horses i normaly dont put anything on them apart from my old horse as he has no check ligerments so i put Bandages on for support with fibregie (sorry about spelling) with my youngsters i put brushing boots on for there first few NCR rides as they are only doing low millage at lower speeds. The problem with leg protction is you have to be so careful it does not rub the horse and make them sore. Ive never had a problem with my older boy with his bandages as we do change them at every vet gate on the bigger rides. Once my youngsters get to Novice level i tend to go bare legs unless they really need it. If you horse doesnt really need anything, the best thing is try it at home first work out a ride route the same distance as your about to do and ride it with boots on one week and then with out. Ride it as if you were competing then you see if you really need boots or not.
