It's lovely! The ad describes the horse as Pink Blagdon. Is that a proper name or?

It's pretty funky looking huh.

Sabino is the bit that causes those white splashes on the belly, right? Then flaxen is the mane and tail and obviously chestnut is the body?

(Excuse my bizarre questions, I'm having one of my curious days where I like to ask about everything :p)

Greasedweasel, maybe you could help me??

If i have a chestnut and white mare (pink skin under white hair), she has had a palamino foal, the only thing that could be the sire is a black horse with white socks. Is the mare likely to be the cream gene carrier??

Sorry but you sound so genetically intellectual, lol

It's more likely that the black is.

Cream on chestnut gives you palomino, which the mare isn't - so she's not carrying cream.

One cream allele on black often has no effect to the naked eye, so it's likely the sire is the carrier.

Thank you Chev, he came out looking cremello but has turned palamino now, hes lovely.

I may well breed from her again but would need to cross her with a traditional coloured to get something a bit beefier than she is at the moment (am 6ft) it needs to take up my legs, anything in particular I should be considering??

Won't be an immediate thing just something I am secretly hoping to do in future, lol, husband knows nothing about this!!!!!!!!
