need your knowledge again :)

have had the most gorgeous colt born this year out of a black mare by a cremello stallion .. now , to me and many others he would be classed as a smokey black :confused:

my problem , or should i say confusion is that he has now developed typical signs of rabicano :eek: .. .. is this possible .. his mother has very slight signs of it , and her mother also (she was almost silver in colour in winter but jet black in summer with roan flanks but not on the tail) ...
this little chap is really confusing me :confused:

Sounds like he has rabicano, especially if he has relatives who carry it! You're right that he is smoky black, he just happens to carry rabicano too. :)

He's a stunner :D Definitely smoky black. Not sure about the rabicano - he could have but it could also just be the way he's shedding out.

Either way I think he's a cracker!
