never been there but it looks nice, the clydesdales are gorgeous! my father in law lives outside of ellon, near auchnagatt

Scotnut: Yep, I go on Nairn beach a lot. Sometimes alone and sometimes with a bay!

Yard is a 10 min hack away from beach. Fantastic!!

Anybody know of a good RS near sneckie that wont put me on one of the bomb proof highlands?! I cant learn if I can't even move in a forward direction! Love highlands though have a friend who has the most lovely mouse dun boy you ever seen, totally forward going and sooo sweet!

I was in Dumfries this weekend (my OH is a Dumfries native) and didnt see a single horse. I even commented on the lack of equines. You must all be hidden away somewhere where I didnt go ;).

We dont have many livery yards in close proximity to the town to be fair!! There are a few but like you say they are well hidden!! I have lived here for 20 yrs and it amazes me where liveries crop up, some have been there for years and i didnt even know they existed!!

Its the kind of area where a lot of people are lucky enough to have properties where they can keep their horses at home or the odd farmer or small holdings will let you rent a field.

Was it Sat or Sunday you were here?? If it was Sunday most likely every horse would be hiding in the hedges, the weather was sooo miserable!!

Both, though it was lovely sunny saturday that we went wandering. OH's family live near the countryside but it was all cows.
