Hi there
Just wanted to share with you my experiance, if it can help one of you out there then the job has been done.
Well i used to ride frequently and quite well when i was alot younger and i gave it a huge break to have my daughter before starting again from scratch (petrified i must add), so i started at a local school and regained that same old feeling that i had had years prior (the riding urge) well after riding for a while i bought my first horse ( 14.2 cob mare) everything went well for a couple of months then i had a scare one day which changed the way i felt about riding completely, the thought of getting on her back frieghtened the life out of me to say the least, well i decided after a while that i still wanted to ride so i began to take lessons on her and three months later i am hacking out walking, trotting, cantering and galloping, i guess what i am trying to say is that i never felt i would regain my confidence in a life time let alone three months, i still have my lessons once every two weeks which have helped imensely but alot of regaining what i had lost has been dowm to myself and the need to ride.
I hope this inspires someone out there to get in the saddle again if they are thinking about it after all that urge never seems to go once you have got it.
