Where can you purchase the stirrup irons you advocate in your book, I have looked everywhere local to me but cannot fnd anything like them.
Am I right in thinking they would also be useful for jumping
Thanks

HI Dee,
The stirrups are eventing stirrups, but are rarely sold in this country. They are also £125 a pair! They are made from Kangaroo metal which is usually used for bits, because the metal tastes nicer for the hrose. I can't see what the benefit is for human feet though!
I am designing a similar pair in stainless steel, which will also have ruber treads- I do find that the eventing ones can slip on leather soled boots- and wil be around £30 a pair, which is a bit better!
Apparently Icelandic stirrups are similar, and I think there is a post on Nr somewhere about them.
All the best,
Heather

I think I'll give the icelandic ones a try.
