katy, millie, and rioghachd hit the woods!

im sorry if your fed up hearing about proud mummy and her wee ladies, but we went through the woods again yesterday and katy decided her wee foaly pants might be feeling unloved now she has millie moo, so he went too.
i was in a fair bit of pain as i'd just spent 3 1/2 hours getting my back tattooed so stu took rioghachd as he was pulling my arm off!!
anyway, here are the pics, got a video uploading too!

sorry if someone else has already asked this, but may i ask why you dont have a saddle? i know you dont have to have one at all and of course its completley fine not too, just being nosey :p.....and what a good seat your girl will have!!!

i dont mind at all....we only got millie last week and she was sold without a saddle, we're in the process of getting one for her! katy does seem to quite like bareback though and i think its helping no end with her balance, but she cant quite sit millie's trot yet! hopefully have a saddle for her this week!

you should pick up a cub saddle on ebay cheap enough to do untill she's doing anything requiring a proper one. i got the wee cub saddle for about £20 and you can get(pink) customised cub saddle pad and cover xx

oh i see ;) sorry too nosey! yes it must be doing wonders for her balance, i remember how much it hurts my legs ttrotting without stirrops let alone without a saddle so she will be better than us! lovely well behaved pony

haha, yep, stu is trying to make rioghachd as bombproof as possible by doing every strange and scary thing imaginable to him at random intervals! poor hoss puts up with a lot!! :rolleyes:
the tattoo wasn't that bad, honest, easy to sit through til the last 20mins when he did the shoulder blades....that was ouch:eek:

Katy & Millie are amazing, she has a great little seat and just looks so happy and confidant even riding bareback, incredible little jockey. Can't believe Millie is a new pony too, what a little treasure!!! How big is Millie?

thank you! i am incredibly proud of katy! and millie, for that matter. she just does everything asked of her and is a little saint with katy, very patient, and calm. she's not done that much other than trekking, and katy announced tonight after watching her dad jumping she wanted to do that with millie....so she may have her work cut out for her!!

millie's 10.2 (42in) and great for katy, she's a wee natural and they just seem to really suit one another!

the canvas idea is great, my problem being which of the thousand photos i seem to have taken so far to choose!!

and when you feel ready definitely go out with your wee one, nothing beats it. i love hacking out with my husband when we get the chance but it was a whole new feeling to be out riding, and ''properly'' riding at that, with my wee girl!

Have done a road hack together with a 'foot soldier' for her while I was in front, we ride in the school too but can't wait until she is ready for a real hack :) Will be great for you to ride all together as a family, wish I could persuade my OH to ride, I'd so love him to.

We have an old maxam synthetic pony saddle that came with her pony last year, I'd guess medium and 14 inches without measuring it, have finally just replaced it with one that fits him properly. Taken ages with other things to save up. I'm not going to try to sell it but if you can't buy a new one yet it may help you as a temporary? PM me if interested

Lol, she is far more confidant than her mum but has been riding longer, gave me a jump lesson today over weeny cross poles! Hilarious.
