Hiya

I am covering an event on Sunday in Milton Keynes and wonder if any of you budding photographers out there might be interested in coming along to learn about photography and get some practice ??

You should have a DSLR and lens (longer the better but if Canon, I can lend you one) and be free on Sunday 30th between 9am - 4pm approximately
I do not print pictures on site as yet BUT I upload all photos to my website by 8pm the same day. I can offer a small comission on your photos sold ;) and of course, some great experience.

If you are free and fancy a challenge please let me kow

What a lovely opportunity Toffee_Monster. :)

I recall Lonestar was keen on being an equine photographer, but I think she's too far away. She's near Norwich.

You could try her, in case she doesn't see this thread. :)

Nat will be able to point me out, and you can see a few NR horses! :p

Nat, the annoying thing is, I'd LOVE to take up the opportunity if I wasn't on the ride!

Of the next three days this weekend that my parents are off work - Which day has my Dad picked to travel to Cambridge for?! Sunday

However this sounds like a wonderful opportunity so I will ask him tomorrow if I can maybe see if he can postpone his travelling until early evening...

Mind you, I look a lot like a lobster from Bucks County today ;) Lol!

Just out of curiosity, do you find that a DSLR makes a difference over a regular camera?

I've never used one in my equine photography, but I see a lot of people are requiring them for jobs these days.

My goodness 100% !!!
Take a look at some of my pics, they say a picture says a thousand words - however a good camera does not make a good photographer, but it certainly helps ;)

Agree totally! I don't have a DSLR, too complex for little old me, I have a bridge camera instead - I am an appaling photographer and it makes even me look vaguely okay!

I've never heard the phrase 'bridge camera' before, but I have a bridge camera too. I lvoe it to bits and would definitly reccomend it for budding photographers who don't have the money to spend on DSLR's. Although I would love to be able to afford a proper DSLR :(

i (well, mum) has a Canon 400D which i use from time to time but i spend more time with my little digi cam just because its smaller. i enjoy taking photos, just dont have the time to take more... =[ stupid academic stuff! have fun tomorrow T_M!

you know what .... the entry level DSLR's really arent a lot more expensive than a bridge camera, but yes, i agree they are a good start !!

Well, looks like i'm on my own tomorrow, but I can open the opportunity up to 20th September is anyone fancies it ?? :p
