Where I ride at right now is about 30 min away so it does take a wee bit of gas to get there, but I do get free board:D, for just mucking stalls and turning out 20 horses:p.

Just wanted to see how far people drive to ride;), keep in mind too that being in the u.s we have fewer barns nearby which is rubbish:mad:. I envy all of you who are across the pond:rolleyes:

the RS is quite far as its outside the town, its in west haughton, which is near bolton FCs ground.
have to go on motorways and countryside lanes to get to it.

My stables (we own them so no livery :p) takes about 20 mins in the car to get to, but my gran lives a 2 minute walk from there - she bought the land about 30/40 years ago (been in the family a long time) but has great hacking so cant complain :)

Mine is precisely 8.5 miles :D I know this because I measured it with string on the map yesterday.

Takes about 15/20 mins by car, on the bike (!) it's about an hour - longer if it's raining, or I'm tired, because I dawdle :o

Anywhere between 10 and 30 mins to get to my RS, 10 mins now when i'm there for sunday mornings 10am, but used to take around 30mins to get there for 5 or 6pm on wednesdays as we got stuck in both andover and newbury traffic:rolleyes:

3 miles by car so less than a 10 minute drive. An hour to walk it across the fields and a bit longer if you stop at the halfway point (nice pub!) :)

Mine's 2 (slow) miles to drive, so about 5-8 mins, but there's a shortcut by foot or pushbike so I can bike it in 10 mins. Never walked it mind!

I'm only 5 miles from Toby :). It's too far for me to walk there and back :o (yes I've tried it :p), so need to invest in a new bike (mine is very old and the gears don't work :p - I have to go everywhere in 5th :D) - better than having to get in the car the whole time :).

Yea, 5 miles would take some time to walk lol. Too bad you just can't ride that on Toby, but I guess there would be no point in having to keep him at a yard then:p:rolleyes:
