Is your horse an Icelandic? I've never particularly been a fan, but yours is stunning :)

Great pics:D

Do you trot or tolt mostly?

My boy foxtrots, more than he does trot now, he seems to prefer his foxtrot, we can do a slower speed now but he likes to zoom and no one can seem to keep up with us.
Do you have this problem with your boy or does he keep to a more reasonable speed when tolting?

My boy is 5 gaited which means he does pace as well as tolt but he actaully prefers pace which if done at a slow speed is called "piggy pace" and is an "undesirable" gait so i try to trot him as much as possible, which at times isn't easy!!:D Is foxtrot the same as pace?

Foxtrot is similar to trot, a diagonal gait but the back leg is set down slightly after the front, so it's smoother, and you can't rise to it.
It's supposed to be a slower gait but he loves to go fast and we can get up to 15 miles and hour, which could possibly be more of a rack than a foxtrot at that speed.
My boy also does flatwalk and running walk.

He looks awesome,he is a really lovely dark chestnut to.Bless him about the piggy pacing, when i did the youth cup in Austria my friend was given this horse for the competion and all it did was piggy pace...everywhere!She won a prize in the end for most badly gaited horse!

When Ginny's not allowed to go forward but she wants to go faster she does something similar to that. I've never seen it from the ground though, I must try and get someone to video it one day. Its very slow, in-between trot and walk speed, but it feels smooth and is impossible to rise to. :)

Ponygal, its safe to say im jealous. Beautiful colour, beautiful horse, and he looks like he's enjoying his work very much so. He seems like the kinda guy who would try anything for you!!:D
