A women i recently got to know found this picture in a paper & cut it out & brought it to my house saying how it's a good picture for me & one i should focus on. It remeinded her of me in a spiritual journey kind of way.
I really like it & want to get it painted as a reminder of her. I just wondered what everybody thinks of the pic & what it would represent for you. :)

It says 'bad art' and 'erotic fantasy of bored artist trapped in suburbia' to me.

Odd isn't it! I have some lovely horse pics in my house but this was meant to be something different. The art is 'poor', it's what the pic was supposes to be saying.
Funny replies, no offence taken ;)

If the woman was clothed - I'd say 'freedom'. The fact that she isn't just makes me think 'Okaaaaaaaaay '. Not the sort of style I normally like (I'm a Constable, Rembrandt and Pre Raphaelite girl :p - nothing like a bit of convention :o) I can understand why some people like it, but the style isn't to my taste, personally :).

Your horse has bolted with you so far and so fast that all your clothes have fallen off......
I'm glad it speaks to you, though. If it works for you, it doesn't matter what it means to other people. I wouldnt give it house room, but different strokes for different folks and all that!

It represents me and my trial pony quite well at the moment - he is a pocket rocket and I feel I'm clinging on to keep up with him!! :D

Makes me think of a very derivative artist with minimal talent and equally lacking in imagination.

I like the picture. I see freedom, free spirit and going back to the nature.
Riding without gadgets and enjoying the ride.

I asked why it reminded her of me, I have blonde hair not brown. yes i have a black horse but no i can't jump that high nor ride in the nud!
For her it represented, Freedom, Success, living out dreams, not a care in the world about anything... others, appearance, living etc. It also represented houses in different ways.

It is a piece which isnt to everyones taste, and although I would "invest" in it personally - I think it has a lot of imagination to it as it can say so much to peopple.
Personally, it would represent how I am with a horse. I couldnt care how I look or behave, I am free to be myself and not be judged and bitched about. They give me the confidence to be myself and I enjoy the freedom of riding out alone and having a good canter. It doesnt matter what the rest of the world is doing when Im with my horse.
Yes, despite being very chatty... Im very insecure :o

a rider who lacks the basic knowledge of how to ride.;)
the horse being without tack yes can relate to that i ride like that but i do have clothes on and i'm the leader of the horse, the impression i get from painting is she is just hanging on whatever happens . so not really what i hope people think that of me.

Being a more mature member with alot of life background - I like it :) It states to me Freedom - escape - separation from life as you know it - Being comfortable and that comes with being naked - It also can feel that way when you ride on a day to day basis - Its having that special time - And no I am not on Drugs - just seen alot of life through my and other peoples lives - Would like a link as to where I could get a copy:D

I can see why it would appeal to some people - depending on how it was framed and mounted it could be quite unusual.
And maybe only the Scottish NRs will get this but it reminds me of the christmas Irn Bru advert with the snowman!! :D

Might me my state of mind but it symbolises escapism in a very disorganised way to me, ie, clinging onto your horse to get you away from other things in your life that you don't want to deal with, but also not totally at peace with what you are clinging onto, ie your horse.
God someone fetch me the wine :p

Hi
Did not mean to be condescending - just come off a similar post with a young person displaying bullying behaviour - sorry x I still like the pic and appreciate everyones views - just got caught up with a person being mean and wanted to show that I will not be bullied and allow that to happen to anyone else - So condescending for a reason :)

I quite like this painting, would I have it on my wall in a frame? Yes I would.
It reminds me of when I was young and used to dream I had a pony, long before I did, I used to have strange dreams of flying over rooftops and in the sky at night with a special horse. I must admit I would have probably been in my PJ's but the picture screams freedom from lifes crap to me. I wish. Society is getting to be a too much 'Do what we tell you to do' society and I genuinely remember innocent dreams.

I don't particularly like this picture, and can't really imagine it in any room. Sorry if it isn't what you wanted to hear. I also can't relate to this piccy, don't get my wrong I'm all for magical stuff but this has an essence of eeriness that I'm not sure I like.

lol maybe that's why her clothes fell off, the power of the gale when the horse took off over the houses must have whipped them off

i probably wouldnt buy this picture , but i do actually like it. its all about freedom of spirit; to me it is saying that when you get on a horse, all of your cares and responsibilities fall away into insignifigance, and you are totally free, you rise above the day to day worries of everyday life when you are riding; the houses are fenced off and isolated, signifying no worries about bills or cooking, housework or family members. no clothes signify its just you yourself, no pretence between you and your horse- he will soon suss you out! the fact that it is nightime in the picture , coupled with the fact that it is painted in a simplistic, dreamlike, almost surreal style, is signifying the emotional bond between horse and rider. contrary to the comments of being badly painted, i find it rather good ie it makes you think, and it does convey emotion, something that good art should always do.
