What 3 tunes would you pick to do a stressage to music test? I doubt I'll ever get round to doing one but I've picked the music I'd use!! You are allowed a walk, trot and canter tune!! You don't have to have a theme of band but mine would be :

Walk : 'Your're my best friend' Queen (Cos he is my best friend!! :o)

Trot : 'Fat bottomed Girls' Queen (Me being the fat bottomed girl and my horse being the fat bottomed boy!!:D)

Canter : 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Queen (the fast bits would be great fun!!)

give me a min and i can make a video of my dream dressage freestlye test;)

ETA maybe not can't find the clips

but i would have to use POTC for canter .. its just a must :o its so unimaginative but i love it

for trot - Chris Cornell - You Know My Name (casino royale theme)

and i have a bunch of random tunes with no lyrics i can use for walk, or even trot or canter come to think of it :)

I think about this all the time LOL. I would LOVE to do dressage to music to something really shocking just to see the reactions and whether or not I get kicked out of the class :o Dressage to music is always so fluffy!

Maybe some Lamb of God, Dimmu Borgir or Nile would shake things up :D

:D I had my test all worked out with the music last year, and as soon as I marked out the arena in the field it rained - endlessly, for weeks - so I never got to do it last year. This year I haven't got around to it again, but i've still got the CD made up ready. Tia's music (because she is a big stonking cob) is all by the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band. she has:

Walk - entrance of the gladiators
Trot - the floral dance (and it suits her down to the ground :D)
Canter - 76 trombones

there's nothing fluffy about our music :)

Adagio for strings! the dj tiesto version though (I'm such a chav! :o)
I often pop my ipod on when I'm schooling and make up a test to the music. Sometimes you can get a great buzz off it!

Walk- Jeg ser deg sote lamb

Trot-Get ** Smugglers

Canter-** shaalds o Foula

Slow Tolt-Trad icelandic folk tune which I never learned the name of when I learned to play the tune

Fast Tolt-Yet another nameless trad icelandic fiddle tune (had an icelander here for 2 weeks holiday he taught me loads of fiddle tunes, but most of them lost their name decades ago )

Tolt with speed changes-Trad Icelandic fiddle tune which I never learned the name of when the icelander taught me the tune. It depicts the tolting horse.

Current medium music is 'Be Our Guest' from Beauty and the Beast for antry & canter and 42nd Street for walk and trot, both non-vocal versions.

Advanced medium music is all Madonna played by the RPO: Walk, Crazy For You; Trot - Material Girl; Canter - La Isla Bonita; Entry - Like a Virgin :o

Medium Pairs: Walk - Siamese Cat Song (Lady & the Tramp); Canter - Never had a friend like me (Aladdin); Trot - Hakuna Matata (The Lion King)

Busy doing one to a latinised version of the Sound of Music: Walk - Maria; Trot - Sound of music; Canter- Lonely Goatherd.

Also playing around with some instrumental versions of Cliff Richard music from Summer Holiday and the Young Ones.

Doing one for a friend using orchestral versions of some James Bond music

The girls were doing some practicing the other week to some Old school techno!! It was really good and some of the tunes matched perfectly! They were too scared to actually use it for a comp though! I said they should because the judge might be an old raver and appreicate it!!!:D
