another fancy dress...but much harder than moo's!

ok, so after scouring ebay and trying several different ways off putting it all together, millie moo's dragon costume, and katy's harry trotter are sorted. we even watched the goblet of fire last night to celebrate...
however :rolleyes:
my stepdaughter lives with her mother in the middle east, and was due to be coming home next week and would be back in oman before the sponsored ride, but they are now moving from oman to india (which i will not get started on:mad:) and the dates have changed, meaning amelia will be home for the ride, and i said she could borrow my boy beau for it.
and she knew straight away what they were to dress as.
amelia, being a total daddys girl, is motorbike daft like her dad, so wants to wear her bike gear (before you ask, no she doesnt ride at the age of 6, just has the kids version of her daddy's suit!) that's fine, but she wants beau to dress as a flippin' motorbike!

how on earth do i turn this beastie into an sv650????

Can you get like a wrapping paper tube and thread reins through? that can be her handlebars - although would mean she needs to be on lead rein. I would then get some black lycra as its shiny and some silver or whatever colour for the sizes - make a rug type thing and paint onto the fabric the bike and wheels?

Gel the tail so it sticks out horizontally as an exhaust - sure he can provide a good impersonation of the fumes :p

she would be on the lead rein anyway as she only rides every now and again when she's over visiting (not nearly often enough!)

You could have black rubber rings for wheels on either side :P
So long as the horse in question don't mind.

Black rug for the actual bike, cut a hole in it for the saddle to come through (cheap rug essential), also cut holes for stirrups to come through, these can be pedals

make 4 wheels out of layers of cardboard, paint in to wheel design, add thin strips of rolled tin foil for spokes, then attach to rug either side to display as 2 wheels (if that makes sense)

Put black tail bandage on tail

Get silver paint (or something similar) to put "stickers" on the rug/ bike

Not sure about the front end though
