The Matheson's at Tawney's Farm, Oxfordshire have some really smart horses.
How much are you able to spend? I know of a nice young horse who's been out eventing up to PN but he's about £12k.

There's a chap called Ryan who often advertsies on horsemart etc, Shannon Equestrian is his website I believe. Think he is in the North West, so not a million miles from you, but I don't know anything about him.

If you could bear the journey, Exmoor Eventing usually have some lush horses on their site. Again, don't know much about them or the likely costs but their horses do look nice.

Or what about Helen Bell near Thirsk area? She definitely sells eventer types. She may have a website but if not PM me and I'll give you her number.

I can pm you the details of a reputable dealer in East Anglia, not sure if that's too far for you?

I take it you have discovered the HorseSelect website BH? That's where I found my lad, and there are lots of nice eventers on there all fairly local to you. Some of them do attract "nice" price tags though!

What sort of event level are you looking for?

Future Sport Horses are producing some very smart foals that are grading very well at the BEF futurities. Even if Julia doesn't have anything suitable she has a lot of contacts and may be able to direct you to someone who has what you want

Another lady who may have something to suit is Sacha at Volatis stud. She breeds both eventers and dressage types and they have all been doing really well at the Futurities. I beleive she does have a few older youngsters that she has run on to produce, but she is reducing her herd numbers so may have something suitable she is willing to sell.

Thanks I'll have a look at that.
12k is quite a bit too much I'm afraid, but thanks anyway :)

I've come across Exmoor eventing but the horses are a tad too costly.
Just found Helen Bells website, I'll look at it more thoroughly now, thankyou!

Thanks.

I want to go as far as I can with eventing but understand that the horses are extremely expensive, so are just looking at as much as we can afford.

Thanks for the links, I'll have a look at them :)

If you have alot of money to spend then I recommend White gate stables. My ex OH got his 4yo from them and he has amazing scope, good elastic movement and is very brave.

can recommend Sports Horses International at Rusper (Nr Gatwick airport) http://www.dutchsporthorses.com/ . We bought both our horses from them. They offer a three month warranty.

Hope this helps
