Gone and got myself an ear infection haven't I :rolleyes:

So today I went to the horses in a wooly hat wrapped up warm and its only September 3rd!! :eek::eek: The breeze around my neck was bloody freezing... WINTERS COMING!!!!

Now i may have this wrong...but my nan always used to say put a drop of warm olive oil in your ear - or maybe on a pad of cotton wool by your ear, not very helpful, whichever it was worked well though!

I am off the docs tomorrow to see what they say, I'm hoping they will give me antibiotics as I have had it a couple of days now and it isn't getting any better :rolleyes:

I am one of those people who will put off going to the docs for as long as my body will physically let me, but the horse gets a scratch and the vet is out :D

i had a reccurrent ear infection- it went on for years in the end until i went to the doctor and was referred to a special ear person at hospital (was there next day :eek:)

they syringed and prodded and poked, had half the ward over looking at stuff coming out of my ears :o had me back the week after did same again (i couldnt stand any more, it was agony) then discovered a cyst/polyp thing in my ear which they had to operate to chop out.

bingo, no more ear infections :)

I have to say, this is only the second one I have ever had (thank god!) but I do get lots of lumps on my ears that are quite sore... they usually disappear in a few days.

the thing i had was horrible, really angry and itchy and bled lots and was a nightmare- i couldnt sleep on that ear at all

Sounds nasty!! Plain old infection is bad enough... little brother is not allowed near me unless he whispers because his voice goes right through me!

And the stupid chickens up at the yard all chase after me screeching because I give them horses left overs :o

3 days of solid rain and cold here! ive had a cold for 3 weeks and im run down, got a stye appearing in one eye and skin a mess from the weather lol the joys!!

hope your better soon take care as i had ear infection and turned to middle ear infection which was nasty x
