Do you mean like while out riding or in the school?

In which case we do all the time, we each have a go jumping or riding each others horses. It fun and good for you to have go on a different horse. Obviously we don't swap on too completely unsuitable horses :p But ive ridden all my friends horses, its great because we can share horses at shows to be able to take more riders.

I sometimes swap with my stepdaughter, Lizzie as she rides my other veteran and I get to ride both my girls when we hack on the bridle paths. I don't swap with Hannah as Star is too small/flimsy to cope with my fat bum and Charlie, other stepdaughters loan is 15.2hh and way to high for me to even attempt mounting with my dodgy knees!

I always encourage my girls to ride as many horses and ponies as pos and that sometimes means they swap with all the friends!:D

All the time :D My friend has an ex-showjumper TB type and I have a green-ish Haflinger so its nice to swap and have a go on something completely different to what you are used to. And Ive been riding a lady at the yard Fresian for her and shes been riding my little NF confidence giver as help her with her confidence issues and in turn I get to ride a fabbb horse who does medium level dressage :D Its quite fun pony swapping!

I dont do swapping  But thats mainly becasue there is very few people who i trust to ride dee. Or the people who i do trust i would never be able to ride their horses due to the rubbishness of my riding :o But i do agree thats its good for horse and rider to swap, also dee has become a very one person ride ie me! but thats due to me not letting people ride her - or lack of other people to ride her

Well, both actually!

In the first place I meant swap like permanent you have mine and I'll have yours, but also interesting about swapping as in riding! I am very protective of who is allowed to ride mine!

swapping as in temporary, used to as a kid and teen, not now

2 havent been backed all that long, ones a mental and id have to be careful who got on her, ones not ridden

the other is my veteran who i do sometimes put others up on if we're out and a freinds horse is acting out, i'll get on theirs and let them have him as hes a nice boy
