Went to see the mare in my other post and she was really not right! Def not a novice ride, she nearly reared up with her owner on her!
What do people think of this one? http://www.horsemart.co.uk/advert/8_yrs_15_3_hh_grey_falkirk/55159
Or any other suggestions if people have any free time to look for a 14-16hh beginner suitable horsey. Any age etc though must be within about an hours drive of Ed. Price preferrably under £2000 but we would pay more if it was the right one :D
Thanks :D:D

Hmm not sure, he sounds lovely but I'd definately get his leg checked out.
Also seems as if he has some deformity of his muzzle.

Seems ok if all you want is a happy hacker. The leg thing could be a problem if you wanted to do a lot of schooling or stressage I would imagine.
I would look for something that can do more than hack if I were you, as you wont always be a beginner and you want a horse that can grow with you.
Also none of his rugs fit....? I would also worry he is hard to catch as thats the only reason most ppl leave a headcollar on in the field!

Yeah he would be vetted..he sounds nice. And I asked her about that when I phoned and she said it was just a bad picture:confused: - would be something pretty obvious so would see when we met him.

Oh he's not for me!!:o I have Ritchie! We're looking for something for my mum. Tbh I'm not 100% sure about him but there seem to be so few horses suitable for novices about I feel like anyone is worth a look at least:rolleyes:

Probably not a lot of point in getting him vetted, if he has enough of a problem for the owner to mention it in the ad he is not likely to pass.
I wouldn't buy a horse that was not 100% sound, and it is unlikely that the vet would know the reason for the unsoundness on a vetting. It could turn out the be something which will get worse and/or be expensive.
Also think the price is too high for that kind of risk
