Is it a co-incidence, my imagination or does the horse do it on purpose.:D
It's happened a few times just before I get on... I put the whip on the ground just to tighten up the girth that little bit more and she'll stand on the whip. I swear once she even grounded it in with her hoof for that extra touch.
Or am I just thinking crazy thoughts:eek::D
N.B. I just use my whip to get her across roads a little quicker so we don't get mowed down by a truck:eek:

Martha does this.
When I lead her out off my property I always carry a lunge whip or a carrot stick and if I put it on the ground she will deliberately plant a hoof on it.

LOL
I keep my whips hanging of my rug rack, and when he used to be in at night and i got there in the morning he'd have his head out with with a whip in his mouth swinging it round
Thats what he thought to them. ;)

That's hilarious. He was probably hoping you'd get aclose enough so he could give you a taste of your own medicine!!!! :D Maple's never stood on the whip yet. Don't know how cos I always chuck it on the ground after I've dismounted and I have to hunt round the car park to see if I can find it if I remember I left it on the ground before I drive off home!!!

When I'm adjusting the girth my horse puts his head around and nicks it out of my hand, has me in stitches everytime :D
