Today my mare Ruby napped for the first real time ever  just when i thought she could not put a foot wrong lol :D Any way long story short, wanted to ride her straight from the yard into field to get to arena, she said NO! NOT GOING and planted! i could'nt believe it as she is sooo forward. (Saddle was checked, re-flocked, fitted under 3 weeks ago ;))
any who, trying to make a 6yo TB chessy mare walk on when she does not want to is SCAREY lol. Determined not to use a whip i just kept asking, when she bucked i sat, turned her round and kept asking, no shouting or anger, any way after 15 mins she walked on. In comparison to Jasper my old boy she caved really quickly, which i was pleased about ;)

Any way my question to you guys is, do you think as a youngster she testing me a little now she's finding her feet and her workload is slowly increasing?

So chuffed when she decided to walk on, she got heaps of praise and went on to school beautifully :p
older pic, but pic non the less lol

Definately testing you. My 6yr old tb decided about 6 months ago that he'd try out napping to see if we'd cave in. He failed :p and now never naps unless theres something immensely scary that most horses would nap at :)

she has been giving me that impression also, she's not scared, just wants to know if she can get her own way :p

Maughty rubes! I do luff her though! :D

Reckon she's just testing you mate. She's about the age for the 'teenage' stage and she's getting fitter all the time now as you're doing quite a lot with her. She'll get over it once she's realised that her mum won't let her do it! Sounds like you solved it the perfect way though, all very calm, no hassle and she'll have learnt something from it. :)

I love those pics, you both look reaslly chilled and happy together! :D
