Right leg - behind the girth
What would I be most likely asking for? And in which direction?

What is a disunited canter?

Describe the aids for a canter transition and explain each one.

If you are riding in an endurance ride and the distance between the check point you just went through and the next one is 3 miles, what time do you have to get to the next checkpoint in to be riding at 12kph?

Sorry, not so horsey related but my brain is filled with science at the moment so I made it as horsey as I could :)

erm not entirely sure :(

Describe the aids for a canter transition and explain each one.
When trotting sit and if you are on the right rein place your right leg behind the girth to ask for that leg to lead, left leg on the girth and squeeze. Keep the Right rein tight to keep them balanced and give slightly with the left rein.
sorry that's probably not what you meant? :o

If you asking for canter on the right rein you need to move your left (outside) leg behind the girth and keep the right leg on the girth. Left (outside) rein controls impulsion and right (inside) rein controls bend (well before you get advanced it doesn ;) ).

Otherwise pretty good!

Okay, if I were to apply the following aids
Right rein - check and soften
Left rein - steady contact
Left leg - on the girth
Right leg - behind the girth
What would I be most likely asking for? And in which direction?
Canter on the right leg?

I think you may have gotten mistaken with legs and whatnot but in this instance I would've most likely been asking for leg yield, and to the left.

What is a disunited canter?
erm not entirely sure :(

A disunited canter is when the horse's back legs are in one canter lead and the horse's front legs are in another, therefore the canter is disunited because the footfalls aren't as they should be. It is generally pretty uncomfortable to ride and you can normally guess when they are disunited because of how it feels!

Yeah, thats what I meant. But if you are asking for right canter lead you should apply your right leg at the girth and your left leg behind the girth. Right leg is at the girth to ask for impulsion and also to bend around. Left leg is behind the girth to signal to the horse you would like the left hind to strike off into canter. Right rein would check and soften gently to encourage bend and flexion and left rein would be steady so the horse steps through.

Stud holes are often filled with _______ when not in use, to keep them clean and prevent them getting compacted with ___mud?____.

Cotton wool is often used, and mud is correct.

Name a feed that you should never feed a horse, in its dry form.
Sugarbeet? :o

Yup.

Give ways a horse owner can get weight off an overweight horse.
restricted grazing, no hard feed, slow steady work ( e.g long hacks in walk only) I'm sure there are more :o

Restricted grazing, more exercise, grazing muzzle, soaked hay, no hard feed, starvation paddock, strip grazing

You did well!:)
