He was such a good boy! Very proud of him yesterday :D:D

Recently we've been having slight issues of Duke thinking everytime I sit on him that I want to go for a gallop as fair enough that is what I have done most times I've ridden him on a hack but then the other week I asked for a canter and tried to slow him up and he ignored me and carried on in gallop which was rather rude and not something to be encouraged especially with Rookierider getting her confidence back cantering in the open!

Anyway, yesterday, asked for a canter and he asked for a gallop, I said no and that was that we cantered :) (2nd canter shown on video)

Very quick learner and I'm glad for it! :D

RR also did incredibly well being bossy with him when he slows down or naps and asked for a canter in the field, Duke didn't oblige but asking for it is a step forward for her confidence so round of applause! :)

Duke really was a star, all the roadworks had appeared since his last hack there and were more sandbags and signs round the corner and one of them was flapping in the wind too. He was excellent :D There were so many 'scarey' things on that first bit I was laughing :D, no idea why but I was unusually super confidant the whole time and nothing bothered me at all, hoorah it had to happen one day!!! What a fab time and a long hack. Had a great time with H4eva888 :D :D

On the hack (my first ever road hack too)when went to buy Duke last year we saw similar roadworks but there was a man with the road digger going, and a huge yellow crane up a lamp post with a spinning yellow light on our side of the road. All of which he'd not seen before, he hacked me alone past them and didn't even look sideways. That's why I bought him the second we got back to the yard :D

Well I tried real hard for that canter, must have done a good half the track in sitting trot really asking & bobbing like a numpty :D I will get one, may have to borrow one from you babe! :D
