Following on my from my thread last week about the mare I was getting. Anyway, on Friday I found out that the place I was getting her from were not taking her off the market and would sell her over the weekend if someone came along who didn't want her vetted :mad:She had a 5 stage vetting certificate done a month ago but I wanted another 2 stage done just to check her over as apparently she had a virus in last couple of weeks and her back legs were a little bit filled. This made me somewhat suspicious and I wasn't particuarly happy that they would sell her if someone came along when I had agreed a purchase and booked a vetting.

Sooo, I decided to not buy her on Sat as it just didn't feel right to me :( So went looking at others at the weekend and went and tried this chap.

http://www.mbequestrian.com/talisman-ridden.html

He was lovely, cracking jump, safe as houses, took him out for a hack too and loved him. Made an offer yesterday 1K lower than his asking price and it was accepted by the owner! (he is on sales livery) He is being vetted as I type so fingers crossed he will pass and be with me very very shortly.

So in the end it seems as though the seller of the lovely mare did me a favour but still not happy about it

So, what do you think of this fella? :)

Awww you lot are lovely :) Must admit I am pretty excited and its my birthday on saturday so he is my pressie I brought myself (or my dear dad did, he died earlier this year so this fella is on him).

I am going to go jumpies on him, plan to do the amateur champs to start off with, see how we go. Also gonna go x country schooling and maybe some prelim dressage and if all that goes to plan maybe, just maybe a 1 day event :D You can't tell I have been planning can you?!

Not sure I will sleep tonight, getting him at 2 tomorrow, promise to take piccies and post them tomorrow.

Karsteine - seriously if you wanna come have a go on Syl and if you like we can go out for a good old plod about (hmmm not sure Syl does plodding ), could do with the help to be honest now I have 2 to keep going. Just let me know if you want to. But, new horsey won't fit in your car and Syl defo won't :p

Syl is lovely to ride, very forward going and quite lively but absolutely safe as houses and never spooks (unless he sees a bird then he just tucks his bum under him lol)

He is quirky boy to let 'new' riders onto him though, he will act as though he thinks you are a lion but once we get you on he will be fine and that will be the end of his 'sylyness' :D

Just give me a shout if you want :)
