The vet, he doth commeth tomorrow!!!!

Vet has suggested the field rest isn't working and we now have two options, so by 6pm tomorrow I will know if Q will be put forward for surgery or gently brought back into work. I know this sounds drastic but vet says he MUST be feeling a bit better to clear two 4ft high fences... And not be lame...

So tomorrow he will be re-assessed and a decision made. I am absolutely pooing myself. I know surgeyr will ultimately be a good thing, but it scares the hell out of me, my baby going under. Especially after Cheyenne.... But I'm also scared that he'll trot up sound then deteriorate once under saddle..

Please can everyone send good vibes to my Q boy, I promise to post pictures of his gorgeousness tomorrow.. once I've stopped shaking!

Thank you for the advice on my other thread - particularly angelofben who has been a real support throughout all of this with her success story with Alps!

Lots and lots of vibes for tomorrow! Will you get to be there with the vet when he assesses him?

Big hugs for you - and remember to keep breathing!

LOL yes lots of hard work and no enjoyment, got offered to ride a lovely big irish x andi mare but just haven't got the get up and go to do it, feels like I no longer care about riding! Before I'd ride anything and everything thrown at me but I think I've been ground down a bit. That lovely 3yo I was riding for 10 mins a time 3 times a week has suspected fractures in both hocks and it really upset me, she got kicked by one of her field mates! :(

I do feel for you, hun - it just seems so dreadful, with no end in sight, and the prospect of yet MORE time off riding. Its just not fair. Is the Irish / Andi mare Pepper? She is lovely...but I know its Q you want !

I have everything crossed for you, anyway. Fingers crossed that the vet will say he can start light work, and that Q STAYS SOUND!
