Ooo-er ... I was feeling spiffy last night, but today I feel wrenched in half!

The downside of pony'ing, really, is that horses are stronger than the human body. But what a lovely ride - well worth the pain!

Notpoodle on Angel, Me on Lucy with Lance in tow, galloping across the stubble fields at breakneck speed ...

Felt like a cowboy = that's what riding is about ...

But OUCH!

You know, I had a moment as I was picking up speed where I thought: This is a really bloody stupid thing to do ... but then, a big grin spread across my face and I kicked on. I think possibly Notpoodle heard me shout Yeeeeeehar!

The best bit?
When I wanted to slow down, I sat back and pulled up Lucy effortlessly with one hand, while shouting "TROT!" at Lance, who instantly came back into a regular trot. And a moment later, we were walking again. Not every ride goes right, but this one was perfect!

and no, i would not attempt myself either! angel and i had a blast though, with her little legs she had to gallop where the big ponies were still cantering fast :p
