I got Amber in November, when I got her she was extremely green broke and had only been walked and lightly trotted under saddle. She is a 5 year old old Percheron/thoroughbred mare (shes a big girl to carry my fat butt, haha) So we've been taking things really slow with her, she just started learning to canter under saddle in June, and 2 weeks ago we started with her jumping training (shes been doing trotting poles all along) so I've been working her over lines and grids of small crossrails, and today we did out first vertical, it was only about 18" but she went right over, no hesitation, what a good girl!! Let me know what you think (i know my form is suckish, but I was concentrating more on her)
