Last night, I heard two horses cantering up the side of my house. It's always a nice reminder why I like living here :)
Went to have a nosey through the window and saw two dark ponies, ridden by mother and daughter. It was dropping dark (I couldn't distinguish the colouring of the ponies) and neither had absolutly no hi-viz to be seen.
That, in my book, is irresponsible parenting.
My street is a big bend, parked cars and houses either side and buses every 15 minutes. Not nesscessarily heavy traffic, but people drive like morons down it.
I couldn't believe my eyes, even my non-horsey OH said he wouldn't have been able to see them.
I am donned in Hi-Viz whenever I ride. Broad daylight, heaving rain...whatever. There is no excuse.
I know there's a lot of people who rant about hi-viz, but when it comes to a childs safety, it's scary!
