Happy happy (although time is passing a bit slowly at Skewbald Corp)!
Yesterday I discovered a new and promising bridleway with lots of sandy / grassy bits to have a bit of a blast on...a rarity where I am. Sunday, I will take a small picnic and explore it further, if the weather is nice.
Tomorrow, there is some clear round jumping at a yard near me, so might go and have a crack at that.
What is everyone else up to?

I'm well excited about the weekend! Its sad but I'm getting my second lesson on my new shareish horse and am a bit of a bouncy idiot about it! (learned loads in my first, who knew that they prefer you rising on a certain side and it feels hollow when you rise on their bad lead!!! I'm a novice)
Oh and the weather forecast is good woohoo!!
x
Ps if someone can tell me what I just said in professional speak I'd be well happy!!

Did a couple of ickle clear rounds, which were fun - I still get a thrill over the little jumps :)

Then on the Sunday, we went for a hack and pony was all weird and spooky. To get onto the bridleways, you have to go down this narrow white, gravelled slope with hedge on one side and barbed wire on the other. He has always gone down it fine, but there was clearly something terrifying at the bottom...he would plant, snort and then turn tail and gallop to the top. This happened three times, then I got off to try and lead him past the spooky object. Couldn't get him to move for 10 minutes, even with a mint as a bribe! Luckily, a lady dogwalker came up the slope and offered to wave my whip at his bottom, so we got him moving and round the corner, where I mounted up...
On the plus side, he's a very good height for blackberry picking! Yum yum!
One last picture of him in his field, before I went home:
