I took myself an my 8 month old son to Blenheim today and had a lovely day :D

We went just the 2 of us, and of course my camera and BIG lens, and it was so relaxing just having a walk round doing what we wanted - we watched some dressage and the Pony Club eventer trial thingy and had a walk round the trade stands.

At one point me and Josh sat in the front row of the grandstand munching on our lunch and amongst his cooing at the big horses, he decided to stand up and look at the people behind - i heard giggles and choruses of "aahh"'s and when i looked round he was grinning nd showing his shiny new teeth to his audience :p ahh, he was a star today

Anyway..... i am going bit OT here - i know why you've all opened this thread ...... the pics :p

Janette Brakewell ;)

Stunning!

(PS: is there anyway to make files smaller, like using photoshop or something, without reducing the quality? Whenever I try, it always quite dramatically reduces the quality of my photos, but if I don't it takes ages to upload each one....only ask as obviously your camera is very very high spec!)

Hiya, I usually crop the pictures to 8" x 6" with a resolution of 305 pixels per inch !! Usually is just right ;)

their great pics what camera do you use?

I use a Canon 40d with 70-200mm f2.8 lens for the speed to freeze the movement

The first pic of that last set, really took a flyer there! Thats well sat!

PL52, photoshop has a save for web feature. Massive reduction in the size of the file without massive reduction in the actual size of the picture, or loss of quality, and you dont have to crop or shrink anything.
