Rosie suffered a grossly thickened PAL, palmar annular ligament, 7cm linear tear in lateral edge of DDFT and a torn manica flexoria that had adhered to medial DFTS following complete loss of normal attachments tom lateral SDFT, if anyone can explain all to me in english that will be great!:)
The vet said the prognosis is guarded due to involvement of DDFT

A month since she has seen grass and 3 weeks after her opperation, Rosie has been allowed to start to move about a week before planned rehab.
She was getting worse in her stable{Rosie lives out and the stable she does have is lovely put pony size so Rosie was pivoting on the good back leg and not putting foot down} and wasnt putting any weight on her leg and I was worried, vet came out monday to take staples out and then back on friday because she was worse, spoke to surgeon who agreed she needed to move about a tiny bit more. They was worried about adhesions forming.
Plus she has been suffering from oedema all over her body especially around her boobs which have led to excess milk production and swelling and oedema in her legs, so she looks very puffy and swollen
So from yesturday she is allowed 5 mins walk twice day, and today I used the walk to turn her out into a TINY sectioned off part, she is much happier being out.
The estimated bill is around 4K, and I am only insured for 3K, but all the suppliments, food, bedding, hay, bandages ect have all been extra, if anyone knows the best place to get cortaflex with HA please let me know cos its costing be £52 for months supply.
I miss riding something rotten but whatever happens to Rosie she will always stay with me and it was so nice for me to see her with the sun on her back this morning.

ooooh look at the three bumble bees

thanks for letting me come up the other night, it was really good to see rosie pose, and t on peach and bramble was hilarious, what a huge giggle we had. If nothing else, peach has certainly done her job, has taught t that ponies are fun and given her oodles of confidence

Glad that rosie is out, i think she will be happier and may heal a lot faster too. Fingers crossed on that one.

Oh hun,am sorry to hear about the vet bill, and the 'guarded' prognosis.

On the plus side though, she sure looks lovely as ever, and happier I'm sure to be out for a while:)

Keeping everything crossed for a complete recovery, and hopefully a fairly sift one as well so she can get back out properly with her friends:)

I'm glad that Rosie is back home and allowed out for a bit now, must be a lot nicer then being in a stable all the time and nicer for you too to see her out.

Always thinking of you all and sending healing vibes constantly to Rosie!!

btw where did you get Peach's and brambles fly masks from? I need a tiny one and a small one that stays on!

Anytime you want a chat or a day out you know where I am:)
