My first hack by Keith aged 35 (pics)

Thought I'd share a few pics from this morning.
My OH has been having lessons for a while now and the other day asked if he could go out for a wee ride on Jaffa. He's only used to riding school horses in a manege so he's quite brave. Jaf is somewhat less predictable and steady than what he's used to!
As it was such a nice day we decided to go for a wee bimble down the riverbank. Please excuse the slight podge and lack of muscle, he hasn't really done much for the last few months (the horse that is ;) ). We'll be working on that over the winter. Anyway, hope you like them :)

Great photos! Well done Keith! Dont you find men just get on and go - they dont seem to worry about things the way we do (well, I do:o).

Thanks, yeah, he's not frightened at all. Well he had a wee moment when we turned for home and Jaf trotted off, but all in all it was a positive experience for him, and a nice change of scenery from a flippin' school.

He's about 6 (passport says 5, vet says nearer 7). He hasn't really done much. Previous owner used him as an occasional stud and hack but mainly a field ornament. I had him on loan for a year but only really hacked him out. He's green as they come and will need lots of work but he's a lovely boy and a quick learner so hoping he'll be a different horse this time next year.
