Hey, just thought I'd intorduce myself :)

I'm Leanne and I'm a newbie to here and a newbie to riding! I've always wanted to learn to ride but could never afford it when I was little (boo!) so now I've finished uni and have a job I've finally got round to doing it! Only had 2 lessons so far but am loving it :D

I do feel a bit old at 22 just starting to learn though, ha. I've always loved horses and loved watching all the show jumping events and trials on tele and going to country shows.

Apart from learning to ride I've just qualified as a staff nurse and work in Critical Care :)

This site looks fab and I've already learnt lot's from it!

Hi and welcome to NR :D i started late (IN my 30s) and just getting back into riding now after a break and i am 43 and loving it. I think its a brilliant hobby outside and keep you fit and healthy :D

Hi Leanne, I'm Leanne too. I got banned from riding as a child :( I used to buy Niece biscuits for lunch and save up the change from my dinner money at school to have riding lesson once a fortnight. I got ridiculed by all the others in lessons as I didn't have lessons twice a week and my parents didn't drive me there in their flash cars :(

Well now I have a lovely house with 4 acres of land and I currently have 4 horses. Two are mine (foal and yearling) and I have foals mum until end of Sept and now I have a 4 year old on loan that was only broken 6 weeks ago.

See things can work out :)
