omg i was soooooo nervous about going today because i did not know how connor would behave and i have never been before so taking a 5year old for a first time hunter is probaly not the most wise idea i have ever followed through with
however he was soooooooooooo well behaved it did not matter.
it was only cubbing so did not need to plait however i did as was not sure about that got there and my friend and i were the ONLY people there that had plaited, her horse then messed around alot so she went back to the lorry after about half hour levaing me and my badley plaited horse to stand alond
however he was sooo well behaved, there was alot of waiting around as it was the first time out for the houonds, at one point we were waiting aorund for hour and half  so after that connor started to get annoyed and started the prancing around, had to wait for anouther of my friends to go into the jump ahead of me, connor did not like it and started rearing up only mini ones and then just catleaped into the air and galloped at the jump:eek:, was a horried jump as you had to immediatly sit bac and pull up as steep down hill cross a ditch and then go up a steep hill and jump out of the woods, nearly fell off here as he jumped and tried to gallop down this hill (bless he was so happy to be moving again) and rammed into my friend who was walking down we had to make here hurry as connor could see the next jump and started jumping aournd doing mini rears out of pure excitement, but it did not bother me at all did not scare me at all and did not tell him off really for doing it was i could compleatly understand why he was doing it.
so got out of the woods and it was the first proper chance for a gallop and it was only small, connor put in a massive buck at the end and would not pull out of canter just cantered on the spot doing mini mini broncs. but who cares he was 5 and first time properly out and other than that was fantasticaly behaved and a fair few of the hunts people commented on why i had a green tail in and said he was so relaxed he did not seem to need one, they asked if he had done it alot and was he old, their faces droped when they were told he had done it 2 times out in irland and he was 5 :D
it was amazing and will deffinatly be going agian when the next one is,
just off to call my farrier now as connor threw a shoe on the hunt withough anyone noticing so now need it tobe put bac on
dont have any pics sadley :( as my parents were not their till the end and there was no oppertunatly to have any pics taken
