Just been doing some research on my TB sire and dam. Her sire was a race horse called winged love, he was the 1995 winner of the budweiser irish derby among others, he won in excess of £435, 990! he is still available at stud for 3500euros. Cant find much about her dam other than breeding history which goes back to 1935ish. My mare hasnt got a name on her passport so she has never raced, she musnt have made the grade.
Its nice to know a bit about her parents :) i just wonder how she could have come from a sire like that to being (am presuming) sold on at a horse market covered in rainscald and really terribly thin :confused: then ending up in this country before being sold to me. poor girl, shes turning out to be a real sweety now too, had her out today with another horse, had a few issues but shes just trying her luck! nothing plenty of leg and confidence couldnt solve. :p
