I've come to the point where for my yearlings sake I have to move him to a nearby yard so I can get part livery.. I work staggered shifts, so need someone at the other end to fetch in/turn out..
Where I am, it has dawned on me that he will be neglected by yo, as they have let me down before.. he was stuck in 23 hrs last time:eek::mad: (I asked someone to put him out, but they "didn't think" to tell me that they couldn't get down to put him out.. he had NO hay! NO water!! he only had a breakfast from the yo, that I'd made up and was ignored for the rest of the day!!
That was 3 weeks ago, he's been out 24/7 ever since, til I can sort something out.
I have found a yard half a mile away, that has great facilities (free menage for one!) and he can go out:)
The problem is, at the mo, there may be only one stable available, and I have 2 horses:(
MY big 'un could go back out in the herd at the current yard on either part or full loan, and another gelding could keep my youngster company til my other can join him.
I don't want to seperate them, but I know I'll be able to find help for my big 'un, but not for my youngster..

Not really much of a choice is it? You cant really leave the wee guy somewhere he will be neglected:(. Looks like you are on the move. Hopefully the other yard will be able to get you a stable soon.

I sympathize with the untrustable y/o thing its happened to me! is there no other yard close you can try or maybe someone with private stables? I just asked a lady who had stables and a pony in her garden and a large field attached and she was more than willing- it was perfect. may be worth you advertising locally?
