*waits for thread to be closed/deleted* i knew about the subscribe thing- but came back and everythings changed! people are having threads deleted, opinions ignored, cant reply to pms for 10 mins, cant edit- im confused!! whats happened to new rider- what a difference a day makes huh? now full of threads of leaving etc. i will lurk and wait before deciding to subscribe- but not getting happy vibes today!!

I know lots of wierd things happening. My password wasn't logging me in and had to get a new password sent to me?? I thought I'd been banned and haddn't posted anything for weeks!!!! :o

The PM and edit restrictions were put in place due to the number of PMs being sent, where people were encouraging others to leave NR and register at other boards. People were editing their posts in order to delete them, apparently in protest over the subscription situation.

Thats right, give it a bit of time and things will return to normal :) We do not want to be harder than usual, its more work for us afterall, but the chaos that ensued after the subscription announcement means that we are being extra vigilant for now until everything calms down again, without these restrictions everything would have crashed around your ears so be patient and trust us, we really are trying to work in your best interest.

horsemart did something similar back at the beginning of the year, they 'updated' the website and basically lost alot of their members and the friendlyness it once had, it was down for quite a time while they were 'updating' and basically it's a mess now, hardly anyone posts on there. lots of people said they were going to stay put but they didn't.

i can see this site turning out the same way too. :eek:

Its weird cos somebody sent me a pm the other day and I didn't have chance to read it properly and then today its disappeared? Most odd. Hey ho - so long as the site doesn't disappear itself then alls well.........(I cannot function without my weekly fix of NR!!!!!!)
