Am on horsey hols next week, which basically means OH and myself are going to spend a week doing brilliant horse-related things!:D Have been promised on our wedding anniversary a trip to Derby HOuse - how exciting, I've never been before! Whats the cafe like? Is there lots to browse in general?:D

Which one, the main one or one of the branches? I found the main shop a bit of a disappointment, didn't have much in and the staff were so unhelpful!!

The branch at Malton, Yorks is lovely.

Forgot to say on the whole store is ok, don't forget to peruse the trailers/horseboxes for sale in the carpark....and there is the odd bargain to be had on the sale rail...every time I had been there has always been a sale rail, and there has always been some Joules gillet/tshirt/sweatshirt that has been a very very good price!

Hehehehe, the cafe part is mainly to keep OH happy, he gets very grumpy if he doesn't get fed and watered regularly:p:D

Just to let you all know - went to Derby House, it was very nice, but was a tad disappointing on the boot front (OH wanted to treat me for our anniversary) and they didn't have any Mountain Horse ones in my size or length. (They didn't do any boots in short come to think of it). Cafe was nice tho - really comfy settees to lounge on!
Ended up only buying one thing - how about that?!!!!!! OH bought some gloves - but it was a nice day out all the same - even tho I didn't come away with that much shopping!!!!

You should have gone to Robinsons while you were in that direction - is only 10 mins away from DH. Glad you had a nice anniversary - OH and I have been married 10 years this year and funnily enough we did the two on our anniversary - lol :D

Hey, nothing better than a horsey place shopping trip on your anniversary!!! Just wish I'd bought some gloves I saw now, they looked brilliant, all very techincal - OH got some, wish I'd got some now for the winter.
