I have just read some awful news on another forum and thought I should share it - especially for the showing people on here. You may remember earlier this year that Caroline Wareing was paralysed after her horse Whalton Pearly Queen (Lulu) slipped and fell on her in the hack championship at Stafford County Show.
Robert Walker took over the ride for Caroline, and he and Lulu qualified for HOYS at Garstang in August.
Sadly whilst at Roberts poor Lulu got toxic laminitis, and X-rays and the vets at Leahurst have showed that nothing can be done for her. She will be put to sleep at lunchtime today.
What a tragic thing to happen to a family who has already suffered so much already this year, and such a sad end to this beautiful horse's life. She is only 4 years old. i am gutted for them.
