Blackie
as good as ever, fit as a fiddle and ready to go hunting. Mums been teaching us to jump and she says we will have no problems by the time we get to the first meet, we might not be the most stylish but we will get over them (and i cant be that bad, cos mum isnt one to let me carry on doing something wrong ;)) so far only been doing like 80cm, but she has the scope to go higher and apply what we are learning so its all good (she jumps massive, its just making sure she goes over straight etc) and building both our confidences.
Shes on all day turnout aswell which is a novelty for her, due to one thing and another (which we cant change and shes happy with) she usually only goes out the odd couple of hours a day, and has a couple of new friends. she still loves me the most and will leave them to come and sit with me for 10 minutes :p
Hal
well, hes now a rugged mountain pony!! not permanently of course, hes healed up physically 100% *jumps up and down with excitement* so we will be showing next year :D.
(mums mentioned getting a box cos of sis going to live at college and her new job (and mine) so we will have a few more quid coming in)
at the moment though, hes gone on holiday and is turned out with a big herd 24/7 with no hay/corn/rugs so hes not looking the most handsome (wouldnt let me take pictures to show you hes so ashamed) but hopefully it will get his brain in gear again so hes not as extreme in scarey situations.
(again for various reasons) hes never been turned out overnight, or in a herd or in the rain/snow so its been a fair old shock for him but as mum said it will either kill him or cure him, and looking at him at the weekend its the latter :D
I shouted him and he was right at the top of the field (dont know how many acres, i wasnt walking that far to get him though!) and he came running down and had a big hug, and i tidied his hair and stuff so he didnt look as bedraggled :p
Me
well started at college again and its going really well, getting stuck in (workwise) and making new friends and stuff. got my driving test next week, which i should pass first time, even though its the hardest test centre in the uk  i like driving, want to do my lgv and trailer test asap. mum said alternative career options are lorry or bus driver :D (i dont think so, hate public transport and never met a normal lorry driver, or a slim one!)
I was in the orchard picking apples for Hal before we went to see him and fell out of a tree, and nearly skewered my eye but im ok, just strained my shoulder where i looped round a branch to break my fall and bruised bruised it where it wedged between two branches. but im a tough nut, hard to explain that i have a black eye from falling out of a tree picking apples for my ponys though, they dont know i have horses :S
