hi guys, well archies sold and is travelling up saturday, now iv done a receipt for selling a car before but this is the first time iv sold a horse, so was wondering what i should put in the receipt.
the buyer knows all about the trailer incident and the infection he had, has seen all the vetting papers from the previous sale and was happy not to go ahead without a vetting, so really just after some help and advise on what to put in the receipt.

many thanks in advance x

I would say along these as this is what I wrote on my receipt.

Received with thanks the sum of £X for the purchase of Wilma, 6 year 15'2hh chestnut arab mare.
I would add vetted as sound if a vetting was done.

Sign and add your name address and date.

I would add something like 'as seen and tried' to cover yourself for any unexpected problems that may emerge.

thanks guys, yeah i was thinking of adding something like sold as seen, as they know everything but like you said, if something else turned up later, then at least im covered. the woman seems really nice and was still happy knowing all the travelling issues and problems so fingers crossed it all goes well, so this is what i was thinking...

Payment of £*** recieved for the purchase of Archie (Schalaaza), 4 year old, 15'2hh bay arab geldin. Sold as seen and tried and on viewing of all previous vetting and chiro report.
signed and dated.

iv also done a photo album slide show from 3 days old to presant so she can see how hes come along and see just what he went through.
